Would I do that?

Name:

I am an early 30's, office working, former theatre techie, divorced, recovering from brain cancer (stupid cancer!) and epilepsy and paralyzation from the cancer surgery (stupid surgery!), mother of an adorable small boy who likes pirates, and a historical costuming and reenactment geek. My fiancee is redheaded and awesome.

I grew up in MN and WI, spent a few years in Indiana, and then came back to the Twin Cities.

I occasionally play in the Society for Creative Anachronism. I have a lot of costumes. I have even more fabric. :)

We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same. -Carlos Castaneda

There is something to be learned from a rainstorm. When meeting a sudden shower, you try not to get wet and run quickly along the road. But doing such things as passing under the eaves of houses, you still get wet. When you are resolved from the beginning, you will not suffer, though you still get the same soaking. This understanding extends to all things. -Yamamoto, "The Hagakure"

You do not have a soul. You are a soul. You have a body. - C.S. Lewis
